For more than 110 years, the Krimeri site has hosted the Meinau stadium and the Strasbourg Alsace Racing Club, a major infrastructure for the territory of the Eurometropole of Strasbourg.

A major equipment of the Strasbourg metropolis, the Meinau stadium is located in the green belt park surrounding the city. This location gives an exceptional character to the stadium between city and park. To the north, it is bordered by the INSPE School, and to the west by the residential district of Meinau in an exceptional wooded environment.

Thanks to its location and its history, the Stade de la Meinau is a strong urban landmark that marks its territory. Today we discover the stadium between the trunks and the treetops. This stadium atmosphere in nature should be preserved and strengthened. The transformation of the site is the opportunity to offer a new legibility to the building, a large equipment in connection with its environment but also visible to all, identifiable on the scale of the district and the city.
